learning styles and worship
so.... does the church encourage the different styles of learning in our services? discussion starter for 10 points!! seriously I am researching whether or not our learning styles influence/impact how we worship and therefore whether it influences where and how we worship.

youth ministry or youth work?
well yesterday I was at a meeting to look at youth ministry/youth work, or as Ian (one of the folk at the meeting) said it was a symposium!!
We had a good discussion, or at least I think we had a good discussion!! I am well aware of my prejudices and one of them is if I here the words youth ministry or youth minister I think evangelical church. I am not saying there is anything wrong with that, but it can alienate some people from different church traditions as well as some young people. I don't think that Christ calls us to alienate people- they might choose to ignore or be alienated, but that is their choice. So what do we do now...for some people, youth work means liberal, extreme left wing, and so they feel alienated, so how do we get out of this rut and find a positive term that says what we do when we work with young people either in a christian setting or in a secular setting.
any ideas, comments will be welcome.
